Becoming is an outstanding book. It was so refreshing to read a book that wasn't the same old tired story. 

I loved that RM Gilmore was able to weave some old Irish legends in to this book. She also managed to have all of the important elements of a good book; as well! She had romance, heart ache, self loathing, and a strong willed main character.

This book begins on Lynnie's 20th birthday. The day she is Becoming. You travel with her over the course of the next few days as she starts to understand and come to grips with what she is. I really can't tell you any more then that because I don't want to give anything way. 

This book is not your average read if you like paranormal style books and you are looking for something different to read this is the book for you! I look forward to the second book in this series. I also liked that this book is one that most readers can enjoy. I didn't need to worn readers away because it might be to graphic for younger reader.
