  • Overview

Unlike other politicians, Ethan Carrick is a nice guy-and a hot, casino-owning vampire. And with elections coming up, he'd like to find his First Lady-if his opponent's hit men don't find him first. (Barnes and Nobles)

I really enjoyed this book!! I loved the characters and the way they developed. I also found that her odd mixing of couples was the prefect combination to put this series on the right track.

After living for 700 years Ethan Carrick finds his match with Alexis a tiny Las Vegas prosecutor with one heck of a karate kick. Ethan is running for reelection as the vampire president he is looking for a First Lady to show he has changed his playboy ways. So when he meets a dentist named Brittany he thought he found just what he need. That is until her sister Alexis shows up ready for a fight.

She agrees to stay with Ethan in her sisters place. Even though Brittany is there willingly. Ethan agrees to the swap even though Brittany would be better for his image because he hasn't ever been so attacked to a women before. Through the course of her promised week their relationship starts to change. They start to have a real relationship not one that is just for show. In the mean time Ethan's opponent hires a hit man to kill Ethan.

This is a great step out of the normal for vampire books by making it life for them very normal indeed. I wouldn't suggest this book for anyone under 18 due to the amount of sex and violence.
